The India Mobile Congress (IMC), the largest telecom, media, and technology forum in Asia, is set to take place from October 27 to 29. This year’s IMC will feature unique demonstrations of 6G use cases and is expected to draw a substantial crowd, with 235 exhibitors, 400 startups, over 400 speakers, and around 1,000 global delegates in attendance, making it a gathering of significant proportions, with an estimated audience of 100,000 individuals.

The opening day is anticipated to be particularly noteworthy, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivering an inaugural address at the ‘Bharat Mandapam,’ the main venue at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, and around 7,000 attendees expected on that day.

IMC’s seventh edition is a joint effort by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), and it will witness participation from approximately 31 countries. The event will showcase various industries, including electronics manufacturing, semiconductors, and startups, with a significant focus on the industrial Internet of Things (IoT) facilitated by the advent of 5G. Additionally, IMC will introduce Aspire, a pioneering startup program aimed at fostering entrepreneurship among young innovators and industry delegates in the telecom and digital domains. Discussions will encompass topics like 5G, 6G, drones, green technology, telecom infrastructure, rural connectivity, digital infrastructure, automation, AI, data privacy, data centers, India’s role in the global semiconductor landscape, and electronic and telecom manufacturing.

Prominent telecom players, such as Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio, and Vodafone Idea, will serve as foundation partners, while leading telecom equipment manufacturers like Ericsson and Nokia will take on the roles of principal partner and platinum partner, respectively.
