BSNL Extends Its Re 1 Offer for Customers

Summary:
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has extended its Re 1 Freedom 2.0 prepaid offer until November 9, 2026, providing new customers with unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day and 1GB of daily data for 24 days. The offer is available through BSNL customer service centres and authorised retailers, but cannot be claimed again by existing beneficiaries. Meanwhile, BSNL has extended interim CMD Robert J Ravi’s tenure by three months as the company continues expanding its indigenous 4G network and attracting new subscribers.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), India’s government-owned telecom provider, has prolonged the availability of its Re 1 prepaid offer for customers. The promotion has been available for an extended period and has undergone multiple changes. Initially offering 30 days of validity, the plan now provides service for 24 days. Known as Freedom 2.0, the offer has been extended until November 2026.

Benefits of BSNL’s Re 1 Plan

The BSNL Re 1 plan includes unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day and 1GB of data daily, with a validity period of 24 days. Customers can take advantage of the offer until November 9, 2026, by visiting their nearest BSNL customer service centre or authorised retailer.

The promotion is exclusively available to new customers. Users who have already claimed the offer with a new SIM card will not be eligible to avail themselves of the same plan again.

BSNL 4G and CMD

Alongside extending the prepaid offer, BSNL has prolonged the tenure of its interim chairman and managing director (CMD), Robert J Ravi, by another three months. Ravi’s interim appointment has been extended several times over the past year. During his leadership, the company has commissioned 100,000 4G sites using indigenous technology.

BSNL currently provides some of the lowest-priced prepaid plans in the telecom industry, contributing to its relatively low average revenue per user (ARPU). However, this figure is gradually increasing as the company continues to attract new prepaid subscribers, particularly 4G users, which could help boost its overall revenue.
