CCI Clears La Caisse’s Acquisition of Stake in Altius Telecom Infrastructure Trust

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved Canadian pension fund La Caisse’s proposal to acquire a stake in Altius Telecom Infrastructure Trust through the green channel route. The transaction will be carried out through CDPQ Infra III, a wholly owned investment vehicle of La Caisse. In India, La Caisse operates through subsidiaries including CDPQ India, Ivanhoe Cambridge Investment Advisory (India) and SITQ India. 

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has given its approval for Canadian pension fund La Caisse to acquire a stake in Altius Telecom Infrastructure Trust. The proposed transaction has been cleared through the green channel mechanism, under which combinations that are not expected to cause an appreciable adverse effect on competition are considered approved once notified to the competition regulator.

The transaction will be undertaken through CDPQ Infra III, an investment vehicle that is directly and wholly owned by La Caisse.

In India, La Caisse operates through subsidiaries such as CDPQ India, Ivanhoe Cambridge Investment Advisory (India) and SITQ India.
